چکیده

This paper arose from the happy connection between two research programmes. The first programme is the study of iteration theories, initiated by Calvin Elgot [4], and elaborated and extended in a long series of papers by Bloom and Ésik. (Most of their results are contained in the monograph [2].) The second programme is the development of a categorical, machine-based analysis of concurrency, by Sabadini, Walters and others [6, 7, 5, 8]. In this second programme, there are four essential aspects.

Buckling Behaviors of Symmetric and Antisymmetric Functionally Graded Beams

The present study investigates buckling characteristics of both nonlinear symmetric power and sigmoid functionally graded (FG) beams. The volume fractions of metal and ceramic are assumed to be distributed through a beam thickness by the sigmoid-law distribution (S-FGM), and the symmetric power function (SP-FGM). These functions have smooth variation of properties across the boundary rather tha...

Notes on Pure Dataflow Matrix Machines: Programming with Self-referential Matrix Transformations

Dataflow matrix machines are self-referential generalized recurrent neural nets. The self-referential mechanism is provided via a stream of matrices defining the connectivity and weights of the network in question. A natural question is: what should play the role of untyped lambda-calculus for this programming architecture? The proposed answer is a discipline of programming with only one kind o...

Programming Patterns in Dataflow Matrix Machines and Generalized Recurrent Neural Nets

Dataflow matrix machines arise naturally in the context of synchronous dataflow programming with linear streams. They can be viewed as a rather powerful generalization of recurrent neural networks. Similarly to recurrent neural networks, large classes of dataflow matrix machines are described by matrices of numbers, and therefore dataflow matrix machines can be synthesized by computing their ma...

Parenting Styles and Dimensions of Children\'s Maladaptive Behaviors

Objective: Many behavioral problems are resulting from inappropriate parenting styles and inattention to behavioral-emotional difficulties in childhood. The purpose of this research was to examine the relationship between parenting styles and dimensions of children's maladaptive behaviors. Methods: 120 six-year old boys, who were enrolled in the first grade of elementary school, were selecte...

A brief review on the influences of nanotubes' entanglement and waviness on the mechanical behaviors of CNTR polymer nanocomposites

Invention of carbon nanotube (CNT) in the 1990s introduced a new class of materials whose extraordinary mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties seemed appealing enough to the research community to devote their time and effort for the purpose of analyzing composite materials reinforced by CNTs. Particularly, the marvelous stiffness of CNTs has made it possible to reach a high-modulus comp...
